Tips for your Barbados Vacation

No matter where it is in the world you travel, the locals are the key to immersing yourself in the culture. Barbados is home to a people known for their great spirits and loving hearts, always ready to reach out and help everyone. Take these few travel tips from a local to ensure you have the best experience possible.

Pack Right – Unless this is a business trip or a wedding there is no need for any suits beside your swimsuits, don’t over pack with items that you will carry back the same way you brought them. Make sure you have some nice cotton shirts, flip flops and push on shoes and a good hat. Better pack one nice outfit, for that special night out.

Remember the Essentials – Don’t leave your villa without packing Polarized Sunglasses, Good Moisturizer, Mosquito Replant and High Quality Sunblock. These few items will ensure you have a safe and happy holiday.

Stay Fit – Don’t let all the eating and drinking stop you from keeping up with your exercises, they are plenty of activities that will burn those extra calories off without you knowing. Rent a paddleboard and get out there, paddle up and down the tranquil west coast enjoying the tropical sea life beneath you. Take a stroll on the boardwalk, and finish it off with a nice swim or snorkel.

Stay Hydrated – Always walk with a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated, Barbados water is very clean and can be drank straight from the tap. However many convenience stores and gas stations will have bottled water ready for sale. Ask your villa staff, they will be glad to have a bag of refreshing spring water and snacks packed for you.

Now that you know what you need from don’t need, get out there get your toes wet and enjoy everything Barbados has to offer.
