"Three-time Formula 1 Champion driver, Lewis Hamilton returns to Bushy Park Barbados to take part in the celebrations for Barbados’ 50th Anniversary of Independence during the inaugural Barbados Festival of Speed on May 7th and May 8th 2016.

On Saturday evening (May 7), Bushy Park will host Dinner with Lewis, a unique opportunity to spend an evening in the company of three-time Formula 1 Champion Lewis Hamilton. There will be fine dining and full premium bar in the VIP Suite overlooking the circuit,  with cultural entertainment throughout the evening. A brief formal introduction to the Barbados Festival of Speed will follow an all-inclusive dinner.  There will also be an interview with Lewis Hamilton and a Radical SR3 and other items on auction.

On May 8th, Lewis Hamilton, along with former British Superbike Champion Tommy Hill join us for an extensive motor sport action packed program.  The gates will open at 8.00am, with the Opening Show starting an hour later. From then to the 6.00pm close, there will be almost non-stop on-track action, complemented by a static display of classic cars, while the Festival Village will offer booths, displays and the best of West Indian food and refreshments.

There will be local and regional riders joining the UK contingent in the two match races, while the Suzuki Challenge Series Swift Cup and Radical SR3 Cup will showcase local and regional talent on four wheels. The title-winning Dreamers UK Banger Racing Team will fight it out in their Micro Bangers. At the other end of the scale, size-wise, the Monster X Tour from the United States will thrill the crowds with their Monster Trucks and Stunt Bikes. The family-friendly day will also feature music from the Barbados Defence Force Band, a parade of classic cars and a lunchtime show starring Rupee, plus other activities with a Caribbean twist, including Kadooment Girls, Stilt Walkers & Tuk Band.
