In August 2020, the Prime Minister of Barbados invited the world to apply to the ‘12 month Barbados Welcome Stamp’ - a special work permit that allows you to relocate to Barbados and ‘work from home – in Barbados’ for up to a year.

This once in a lifetime opportunity is one of the positive opportunities that has come out of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here is what you need to know on qualifying for the welcome stamp and how to relocate to Barbados. 

Barbados Welcome Stamp Requirements:

1. Complete this application form – click here.
2. Provide evidence of an annual income of $50,000 USD or more

• Income generated outside of Barbados
• Permit holders will be deemed a non-resident for income-tax purposes

3. Valid health insurance for the duration of your time in Barbados
4. A copy of your bio-data passport page and two passport sized photos
5. Applicants must be over 18 years of age or relocate as a dependent 

Requirements for a Dependent and Spouse:

1. Proof of relationship to applicant e.g. birth certificate for children and marriage certificate for spouse.
2. Copy of all persons bio data page of passport

Welcome Stamp Work Permit Fees:

Once approved for the Welcome Stamp Work Permit you may pay the following non-refundable fees:

• An Individual Applicant - $2000 USD
• An Individual Applicant with Dependents - $3000 USD
• Individual members of the same family who wish to work remotely must pay the $2000 fee.
