5 Reasons to Visit Barbados
Here’s why you should take a trip to our beautiful island of Barbados, home to white sand beaches and villas that will make your escape to paradise that much sweeter.
The Food
There’s so much to love about the island’s culinary scene, especially the rum shops which locally run bars and restaurants scattered around the island serving up authentic local cuisine and rum punch. A must try is the national dish of Barbados, Cou Cou and Flying Fish. This and many local favourite’s can be enjoyed at restaurants island wide, or prepared in the comfort of your villa by your in house chef. You can also enjoy breakfast at many beach front restaurants, lunch overlooking Barbados’s vast green landscapes, or dinner at one of our many fine dining establishments like Cin Cin by the Sea overlooking the tranquil Caribbean Sea on the West Coast of Barbados.
The “Rum” Culture
One of the most interesting parts of Barbados is its history in the rum making field, and who doesn’t love rum. Barbadians are incredibly proud of their rum, in part because Mount Gay Rum is considered the oldest rum in the world. The St. Nicholas Abbey is another place to go for a glimpse of Barbados’ rum history. This 350-year-old property served as a sugar plantation, and the well-preserved historical residence offers a glimpse into the lives of Barbados’ elite.
The Nightlife
If you plan on leaving the comfort of your villa to explore Barbados and its exquisite night life, a first on the list will be Oistins Fish Fry. Locals and visitors converge in Oistins on Friday and Saturday nights to eat drink and be merry, enjoying the fresh catches of the day and a cold drink to wind down the week. With no lack of dancing live music, karaoke and much more can be found in the melting pot of good times. The St. Lawrence Gap, or “the Gap” as it’s known locally, is great for those who want to get a more party atmosphere. Featuring clubs and bars on a street that only stops when you do. For those staying on the West Coast of Barbados and don’t want to travel to far from their villa, Holetown and Second Street are a great way to experience the Barbados Night Life. Bars, Clubs, Restaurants and much more riddle the streets of this quiet town, creating a night life experience unlike any other.

The Beaches
Barbados has over 60 beaches, and all are open to the public. Along the island’s west coast, also known as the Platinum Coast, the beaches are pristine, with white sand and crystal clear water as far as the eye can see. The calm waters make this area a prime spot for just about any water sport, including paddle boarding, snorkeling, windsurfing and kayaking. The “quieter” east coast is a bit more rugged, but just as beautiful and is more frequented by locals. Bathsheba is all beaches and views, and it’s a surfer’s paradise thanks to its legendary waves.
